The professional predecessor, Helios Lighting Technology and Ceramics Corporation had been founded in 1952. At the beginning the main focus had been placed on consumer products made of ceramics and on table lamps produced with lamp body made of high value ceramics. Outstandingly extensive growth in revenues and capacity had been realized when the association managed to open up for the Western-European market (e.g. Larnhof Keramik, Graf Keramik in Austria). The company also managed to stabilize business relation with iconic, well established inland market players as Herend Porcelain Manufactory. In 1991 Helios acclaimed nominated supplier status for IKEA. After the uncertain years of the privatization era in many respects in the early 90s, the status and the profile of the company had been solidarized after separation of the production units in Magyarszombatfa (Ceramics) and Szombathely (Lighting).

The management in accordance with the shareholders are committed to develop lighting, surface treatment as well as lock-fitting business branches in the future. On order to lay branch-development on solid foundations, the renewal and extension of ISO certification is inevitable. Aiming product development in shielding & fencing, the implementation of an intermittent-duty coating furnace suitable for up to 8 m long components is necessary, which is a perquisite for staying on-the-edge regarding  competitiveness in the 20s. The investment is scheduled for FY 2024.
